Mon Aug 20, 2012 / 7:30pm - 8:30pm

This meeting of the Separation & Divorce Self-Help Group is focused on helping and supporting individuals who are going through separation and divorce. The group can help people to move through the labyrinth of pragmatic and emotional issues associated with divorce. It is also meant to help parents work out issue like parenting plans and adjustment issues. The group is intended to provide a safe and supportive environment that members can use to work on their own individual goals. Members are encouraged to bring issues and problems they are experiencing to the group and to actively participate in sharing their insights and experiences

Event Host:Angel Freedman

Counselling Approach: In working with a group I build on the strengths of the participants. I encourage safe and respectful sharing. I take a holistic approach, and focus on all aspects of every individual’s life and their community around them. Each participant has his or her own story, and I add to the group dynamic as the group facilitator when the opportunity arises. Group consensus is very important to allow the group to function in a healthy environment.
